It is a surprise to me that at a time like this, where technology enables crop over to be world wide, that there is still a lack of creativity in the festival. In my opinion, this festival seems to be a time for women to dress in the scantiest costumes and display a lack of class. I often wonder why the male costumes are of more substance than the female costumes. What message is Barbados and the Caribbean sending out about thier women folk?

As a woman I am embarrassed by the way in which women dress, dance and parade themselves during crop over. Of course Barbados is a hot country and you can get a heat stroke wearing too many layers while consuming so much alcohol, but please do we have to continualy show such disrespect to women by parading such scanty costumes. Maybe Barbados can set a standard for the rest of the caribbean by showing a little more respect to women? ie, giving them more material to cover thier bodies.

My hats off to the few bands, if I rember correctly only two, who seem to be the only ones that portrayed a touch of class and creativity.

Shame on the rest of you and shame on you women for disrespecting your selves by wearing such trashy costumes!!!!!
